My name is Nikki and I am a graduate of Venus Beauty Academy. Ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to be a Cosmetologist. When I decided to pursue my dreams, I searched high and low for the best school. Venus Beauty Academy was the one that stood out to me the most! Before I knew it, I walked in for my very first day and was greeted by nothing but “hellos” and smiles. Right then and there I knew I found my “Cosmo Home”. I had built so many relationships with not only other AMAZING AND TALENTED STUDENTS, but AMAZING TEACHERS, and AMAZING SUPERVISORS. Venus taught me how to be the best Stylist I could be as long as I worked hard and stayed focused on my goal. They are VERY compassionate and care A WHOLE LOT for their students! I even had a baby during my time in Venus and STILL managed to graduate with my class almost on time! Low and behold I am now a LICENSED PROFESSIONAL working full time in a salon. My experience at Venus Beauty Academy was amazing. The whole staff were very knowledgeable about the hair industry and understand the power of nurturing a students career. To have that support and foundation has helped my career tremendously. Since I’ve graduated from Venus I’ve opened my barbershop, Styles Inspired by MARC in University City, Philadelphia. My shop has been featured in publications worldwide including industry leading Modern Salon and American Salon. I’ve traveled the world educating on a variety of platforms like the International Beauty Show in NYC, Premier Orlando, London and Jamaica. Venus Beauty Academy is such an amazing school to learn all things beauty! The teachers are so nice and are great at teaching cosmetology and helping all of the students really get a full understanding of each chapter they learn. My favorite part about Venus was the bond I had with the teachers and that if there wasn’t something that I understood they would work one on one to make sure I got it down. I made great friends at Venus and always had a good time. I am now an Esthetican and I have Venus to thank for that! - Mia V.
